Below is a chart of their battery voltages. A Note from WC about voltage: The tags (both SPLASH and SPOT) use 3.6 V lithium thionyl chloride chemistry batteries and a HLC (hybrid layer capacitor) to delivery the high capacity and support long life. When in a passive state they can register above 3.6 V because of the HCL. It’s the lower end voltage under load (when its actively transmitting) that we are mostly concerned with, that gives an indication of the battery health.
