April 13, 2026 ADULT FEMALE LOGGERHEAD IN HAWAII At approxmately 0900 on Saturday morning (4/11/26) I received a call from the operators of Kona Offshore Adventures (KOA) stating that they had come across what looked like a large loggerhead turtle heavily entangled in line and floats approimately 1.5 miles off of Honokohau Harbor. They were able to bring the exhausted loggerhead on the back deck of their vessel and cut all of the lines away. She was subsequently released and she swam away.
